Engineering perspective, grounded in operating realities
David Pennington is the Principal of MineForce LLC, a Scottsdale-based mining consulting practice serving the Western United States. His background combines a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with mine development and operations experience, infrastructure assessment, site planning and project evaluation.
He advises mine owners, operators, investors and acquisition groups on the relationship between a property’s condition, the proposed operating plan and the work needed to move forward. That includes examining the assumptions behind development alternatives, production expectations, capital requirements and operating readiness.
Practical evaluation across the mine lifecycle
David’s consulting focus includes mine operational and infrastructure assessments, feasibility and project evaluation, mining property analysis and acquisition due diligence, and conceptual mine site planning. His operations background also includes contractor management, infrastructure development and regulatory coordination.
The purpose of an assessment is to separate known conditions from assumptions, identify material gaps and help the client establish workable priorities. Engagement scope is tailored to the decision under consideration and the information available.
Mine safety and MSHA instructor experience
Experience as an MSHA instructor adds a safety and regulatory perspective to mine operational reviews and development planning. MineForce’s safety consulting focuses on assessments, operational practices, applicable documentation and training plan reviews, inspection readiness and corrective-action recommendations.
Instructor experience is presented as professional background. MineForce is independent of MSHA, does not act for a government agency and does not advertise public MSHA training classes.
Direct principal involvement and a clear scope
Clients work with the principal to define objectives, review available facts and identify the next decisions. Findings should explain limitations as well as practical implications. Work requiring licensed engineering, certified resource estimates, specialist testing or formal reporting qualifications must be scoped with appropriately qualified professionals.
No Professional Engineer registration, Qualified Person status or regulatory certification is claimed here. MineForce’s role is practical, engineering-oriented consulting within the agreed engagement.
